This is a 41-mile gravel/mixed surface route out on the West Mesa.
Pace will be designed to keep the group together. Some will think it is fast, some will think it is slow. There will be bailout points along the way.
There are a lot of turns to stay on the good roads. I recommend loading the route.
Conditions are good out on the Mesa right now but there may be short sections of sand or washboarding. The entire route is ridable with 38-40mm tires. If you bring a road bike, you'll be hiking. A MTB will have a hard time keeping up.
Bring plenty of water/food. There is no water out on the mesa.
I've done this route under 3 hrs. I'm expecting the group to be 3-3.5 hrs.
