NMTS Ride Schedule

NOTE: In addition to these one time rides, the club has recurring rides most days of the week. To view them, choose the "Weekly Rides" link in the menu at your left.
Pace is the speed, plus or minus one, that will be maintained on flat terrain with no wind. Distance refers to miles traveled in a day; on multi-day rides it refers to total miles for the trip, and a daily average is calculated from that.
Rides with a light-green background occur over multiple days
HELMETS CSPC, Snell or ANSI Approved Helmets are REQUIRED for all NMTS rides.
EBIKES Class 1 E-bikes are welcome where conditions allow, and at the ride leader's discretion. Class 2 and Class 3 E-bikes are not permitted on NMTS rides.

We have a nice forecast for this Saturday with low winds and sunny sky. So as an alternative to the Oak Flat ride, let's do the Placitas to the end of the pavement ride. It is similar to the Oak Flat ride in difficulty and just short of 37 miles round trip. We will start at 8:00 at the Sandia Pueblo Railrunner station just northeast of the traffic circle at Roy and Hwy 313N. We will take Hwy 313N towards Bernalillo and regroup at the gas station at the Hwy 313 and Avenida Bernalillo stop light. Then go east on Avenida Bernallilo, take a left onto South Road, take a right onto NM-550E. Carefully bike or walk across the I25 entrance/exit ramps and then continue east to where the road becomes NM-165. Continue to the end of the pavement at mile ~18 to our Sag wagon stop with water, drinks, fruit and other goodies.

Retrace your way back towards Bernalillo and NM-550W, turn right onto North Hill Rd, left onto Hill Rd Bypass, right onto South Hill Rd, right onto E. Avenida Bernalillo Rd and left onto NM-313S. We will take a short break at the gas station and then go back to the Sandia Pueblo Railway station.
