NMTS Ride Schedule

NOTE: In addition to these one time rides, the club has recurring rides most days of the week. To view them, choose the "Weekly Rides" link in the menu at your left.

Pace is the speed, plus or minus one, that will be maintained on flat terrain with no wind. Distance refers to miles traveled in a day; on multi-day rides it refers to total miles for the trip, and a daily average is calculated from that.

HELMETS CSPC, Snell or ANSI Approved Helmets are REQUIRED for all NMTS rides.
EBIKES Class 1 E-bikes are welcome where conditions allow, and at the ride leader's discretion. Class 2 and Class 3 E-bikes are not permitted on NMTS rides.

The ride day is predicted to increasingly windy as the day progresses, so this ride starts at 8 AM to reduce the wind impact. Starting from Alameda Open Space, the route heads south on the Bosque Trail and continues south on the Riverside Trail and Chavez Loop to the 2nd Street overpass. Transition to the bike trail paralleling 2nd Street and continue south to the Valle de Oro Wildlife Refuge. We should have an opportunity to see the new Visitors' Center. Return north on the 2nd Street trail to Rio Bravo and then continue north on the Riverside Trail and the Bosque Trail. Exit the Bosque Trail at Tingley Beach to ride around the Country Club to Rio Grande Blvd. Optional rest/food stop at Central Grill, near the intersection with Central Ave. Continue north on Rio Grande Blvd. back to the start at Alameda Open Space.
