This dirt/gravel ride is in the Albuquerque Bosque area along a mostly single track route that avoids most of the sand. We will ride west from the start to cross the Rio Grande and then south to Montano and back across the river. We will continue south until we hit the 12.5 mile mark (somewhere south of Bridge Blvd) and then reverse our course to return to the start.
Any bike with wide tires that can get through a bit of sand will be fine for this ride. In some spots you may need to walk your bike through the short spans of sand if your tires are not wide enough.
We will stay together and will take our time on this ride. If you have not spent much time on the dirt tracks in the Bosque you may be surprised how much different it looks compared to riding the Bosque River Trail!
Bring plenty of water.
