NMTS Ride Schedule

NOTE: In addition to these one time rides, the club has recurring rides most days of the week. To view them, choose the "Weekly Rides" link in the menu at your left.

Pace is the speed, plus or minus one, that will be maintained on flat terrain with no wind. Distance refers to miles traveled in a day; on multi-day rides it refers to total miles for the trip, and a daily average is calculated from that.

HELMETS CSPC, Snell or ANSI Approved Helmets are REQUIRED for all NMTS rides.
EBIKES Class 1 E-bikes are welcome where conditions allow, and at the ride leader's discretion. Class 2 and Class 3 E-bikes are not permitted on NMTS rides.

This is a commercial tour through TripSite for 2022. The bike and boat tour is in Germany and France and combines cycling perfection on riverside cycle paths and unique accommodations on a "floating hotel". You unpack once and call the vessel your home! This tour begins in Mainz, with its 1000-year-old Romanesque cathedral. The trip ends in Kehl, located on the Rhine directly across from Strasbourg, the ultimate European city, with flavors of both France and Germany. Combine this tour with the Cologne to Mainz tour the previous week for a two week adventure.

Day 1: Mainz

Day 2: Mainz - Nierstein by bike | Nierstein - Worms by boat, 13 mi. (20 km)

Day 3: Worms - Mannheim, 16 mi. (25 km)

Day 4: Mannheim - Heidelberg by boat | Heidelberg - Mannheim by bike, 38 mi. (60 km)

Day 5: Mannheim - Speyer, 13 mi. (20 km)

Day 6: Speyer - Germersheim by bike | Germersheim-Gambsheim by boat, 16 mi. (25 km)

Day 7: Gambsheim/Freistett - Strasbourg, 25 mi. (40 km)
