We will ride 334.5 miles from Pittsburgh to DC, following the GAP ( Greater Allegheny Passage), a retired railroad right of way, to Cumberland, Maryland; then along the C&O Canal Towpath to DC. Camping is generally available along the way, but I will be staying in B&Bs, motels, etc...that is to say, I will be sleeping in a bed.Google GAP/C&O/ Bke for extensive info about this very popular ride.
