This ride is usually featured as an NMTS holiday event; starting at Wyoming Mall, the route takes one past or in the near vicinity of Cottonwood, Coronado, and Winrock Malls, where we can observe all the craziness from the comfort of our bicycles. Route planned by Randy Sheesley and Mark Pasnewski.
Distance: 35.2 miles, 1,289 ft. elevation gain.
Getting There: This ride starts Wyoming Mall on Wyoming north of Indian School.
Roadway: Mostly bike trails, bike lanes and 2-lane roads. Menaul has heavy traffic and no bike lanes.
Options: You can take Griegos/Comanche off of Rio Grande to the Diversion Channel Trail to Indian School instead of Indian School/ Menaul/Indian School from Rio Grande. This will keep you on bike lanes and trails instead of riding in heavy traffic on Menaul.
