LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour: LBJ National Historical Park, TX. 10, 30, 42, 62 & 85 mile routes. $40 registration until March 11. The registration fee includes supported rides with maps, rest stops with drinks, snacks and facilities, SAG support, and a post-ride hot lunch, plus the Luci Baines Johnson-led tour of the historical landmarks on the LBJ Ranch as well as a Ranger-led tour of the restored rooms in the Texas White House. Ride of Silence: Various locations. The Ride of Silence is a free ride that asks its cyclists to ride no faster than 12 mph and remain silent during the ride. There are no sponsors and no registration fees. The ride, which is held during National Bike Month, aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways.
